Gallery Blue exists in the village of Caerfarchell near the Cathedral City of St. David's, it's name deriving from it's location in that part of North Pembrokeshire which is illuminated not only by sea and sky, but also by clouds and stars and waves and weather.
It primarily showcases the Pembrokeshire work of Heather M Nixon, an artist who revels in the atmosphere of the extreme environments which have influenced her own individualistic images abstracted from locations ranging through Europe to the Middle East.
Working mainly from her private studio in the nearby village of Trefin, she has utilised her daily proximity to the north-western cliffs of The Pembrokeshire Coast Path to generate some of the most intriguing images ever inspired by this much loved neighbourhood, a home coveted by a multitude of conventional landscape artists for many decades. Heather M Nixon has shown a world beyond, that to which many may unfortunately never be able to travel.
